GD Round Display Setup Guide

The GD Round Display is our sim racing dashboard display, developed in collaboration with Kodai Racing. This guide walks you through everything you need to get it mounted, connected, and running with Simhub.

What's in the Box

Every GD Round Display ships with:

  • Full CNC'd aluminum enclosure in matte black
  • 3.4" VoCore round display
  • 20x programmable RGB LEDs
  • On/Off power switch
  • 2x downstream USB-C ports for hub expansion
  • 6 ft USB-A to USB-C cable
  • M4 x 8mm screws (VESA mounting)
  • M5 x 8mm screws (RAM adapter mounting)

Note: VESA and RAM mounts are not included and must be sourced separately.

Step 1 — Mount Your Display

The GD Round Display supports two industry-standard mounting systems:

  • VESA 50 & 75 — M4 mounting: Compatible with standard VESA 50mm and 75mm patterns. Use the included M4 x 8mm screws.
  • RAM Adapter — M5 mounting: Compatible with RAM Mount ball adapters for flexible arm positioning. Use the included M5 x 8mm screws.

Choose the mount that suits your rig setup, secure it firmly, and position the display at your preferred viewing angle before routing your cable.

Step 2 — Connect via USB-C

Plug the included 6 ft USB-A to USB-C cable from the GD Round Display into an available USB port on your PC. The display runs at 5V over USB 2.0 — no external power supply needed.

The two extra downstream USB-C ports on the unit also let you connect additional sim racing peripherals, turning the GD Round Display into a compact USB hub for your cockpit.

Step 3 — Download the Simhub Device Profile

The GD Round Display is purpose-built for Simhub. To get the display working correctly:

  1. Download the official GD Round Display Simhub device profile: GD_Round_DDU.shdp
  2. Open Simhub on your PC.
  3. Go to Dash Studio and click Import.
  4. Select the downloaded .shdp file to load the profile.
  5. Assign the profile to your GD Round Display device within Simhub.

Once loaded, Simhub will drive the 3.4" VoCore display and all 20 programmable RGB LEDs — letting you configure RPM shift lights, flags, speed readouts, and more.

Step 4 — Set Up the ATSR Evo Plugin (Optional)

The GD Round Display is a featured device in the ATSR Evo Simhub plugin. Head to the ATSR Evo Discord to download the plugin and unlock additional display layouts and data integrations designed specifically for this unit.

Step 5 — Customize Your RGB LEDs

The 20 programmable RGB LEDs are fully configurable inside Simhub. Use Simhub's LED mapping tools to assign colors and behaviors — shift lights, pit limiter indicators, blue flags, or whatever suits your racing style.
